How To Use

This is one of the most popular methods of effectively feeding your bees. Simply place sugar water in the container and place on top of the crown board place a super on and then replace the lid. Simple but very effective.

This type of feeder and a frame feeder are my preferred methods.

Top Tips

Use sugar syrup which can be made up of 50% water and 50% sugar. I use lukewarm water to help dissolve the sugar.  I make up my syrup using clean, empty fizzy drink  bottles (1.5l), they make great shakers and can be transported to the hives easily.
