You have come to the right place to buy honey bees. We have honey bees for sale that are good-tempered and easy to handle on the comb and they are perfect for starting out in beekeeping and for advanced beekeepers who have experience keeping honey bees. These honey bees are very gentle and they make inspections therapeutic and a real joy.

We charge £298 for each National honey bee nuc. Delivery charge is £35 per nuc. We take a £40 (non-refundable) deposit up front and the remaining balance, due before the delivery of your bees.

You will receive a confirmation email nearer the time confirming your delivery date.

If we can’t reach you, we’ll offer your Nuc to the next customer. If we are unable to reach you after numerous attempts, your order will be cancelled, and the deposit will be lost.

We ship to the UK only; unfortunately, as of March 2025 we are unable to send to Northern Ireland due to the Windsor Framework.

Why Royal Mail?
We exclusively use Royal Mail for shipping live bees, as they are the only courier that manually handles each consignment. Unlike other couriers, Royal Mail does not use conveyor belts and is legally authorised to transport live insects. Be cautious of suppliers using alternative couriers, as their handling processes often involve conveyor systems that can harm the bees.

Important Notice:
Postage is undertaken at the customer’s own risk. For the best care and safety of your bees, we strongly recommend collecting your Nuc in person.

Two-Week Window: Nucs must be sent within 14 days of notification to prevent swarming. Delayed dispatches may incur a £20 + VAT weekly hive management fee.

Then your honey bees will be ready for a new home! After placing your order we will be in touch in the Spring to arrange and confirm a date for delivery.

Description

A nucleus of honey bees on 5 National frames will give you a good start in beekeeping and allow you to follow the development of the colony to its full size on 11 frames. We have honey bees for sale that are good tempered, productive, and ideal for those starting out in beekeeping. Our queens are either Buckfast or raised locally from selected stocks.

Local Honey Man bees arrive with a mated honey bee queen, bees, frames of brood in all stages – eggs, open larvae, and sealed larvae – and stores of pollen and honey. The bees travel in a lightweight transit box that will be useful when collecting future swarms.

We supply overwintered 2025 honey bees which will grow to become productive colonies early in the year. Later in the season, we will have 2026 honey bees and Buckfast queens for sale.

Supply is dependent on Spring colony development and the weather. Please bear in mind that honey bees are livestock and that delivery is variable. We will update you regularly regarding a delivery date. Please note when placing an order you will be added to our waiting list, once your order is ready we will contact you.
