Fake Honey Exposed: What the 2023 EU Authenticity Investigation Revealed

Between 2021 and 2022, the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) tested 320 imported honey samples entering the EU for signs of sugar adulteration. In the resulting 2023 report, 100% of the honey consignments imported via UK supply chains failed the authenticity tests.
